Step 1: clinical History- Look it up!
Step 2: Make sure the specimen is Adequate by evaluating the specimen's cellularity and background.
Step 3: From low power, assess the specimen's overall Architecture/organization and cohesiveness of the cells.
Step 4: Determine the cell type(s) present in the specimen by evaluating the cellular features present.
